Report: Transnistria asks Russia to solve gas supplies problems
MOSCOW, Nov 8 (PRIME) -- The Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic has sent proposals to Russia how to solve a gas supply problem after Chisinau reduced gas deliveries by over 40% from November, Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatyev told Rossiya 24 on Tuesday.
"We have turned to the Russian Federation, of course," Ignatyev said. "We’ve offered several models of solution of the problem. We are waiting for a reaction of the Russian Federation and readiness to work out best mechanisms to solve this issue."
According to Ignatyev, the gas deal was signed between Moldovagaz and Gazprom, while Transnistria is not part of the agreement.
